Teachers Vote to Keep PEA!

Congratulations Polk Teachers, Paras, and ESPs!!! On June 24th, 2025 at about 12 pm, the Public Employee Relations Committee (PERC) completed the teacher ballot count. With more than 98% of the vote, PEA remains your collective bargaining agent! This was our third election this year, preceded by our Paras in May and our ESPs in April! Each and every election was easily won in favor of PEA, following the more than 100 victories across the state of Florida! So far, not one single FEA local has lost their PERC election, proving that you and your union colleagues know the value of standing in solidarity and maintaining a voice in your workplace!

Be on the lookout for petitions and details of our next elections (we will have to complete this process every year under SB 256 legislation). As long as legislators make you, the working people, jump through hoops to maintain your constitutionally guaranteed right to collective bargaining, this fight will continue. But we will not stop! We will keep fighting! We are PEA!!!
