The Public Employee Relations Commision has begun our first contract election--this is for ALL ESPs covered under the PEA/PCPS negotiated CBA (contract). ALL ESPs should receive a ballot by mail asking if "Yes" you want PEA to continue as your certified bargaining agent (contracts remain in place), or "No" (PEA will no longer be your union representative and current contract will be enforceable on at the mercy of your employer). Obviously, we are STRONGLY encouraging all ESPs to vote to retain your union and contract through PEA (especially as our new contracts are in the middle of ratification right now)!!! Ballots must be received by PERC in Tallahassee no later than April 8th (mail back by April 1st) to be counted.
