About the event
This quick, 2-hour course offers teachers basic information regarding how to find, read, understand, and contribute to IEPs and 504 plans during ESE staffing meetings. Learn about what types of plans may be present for your students, what they entail, the statutes that surround following and documenting your adherence to these legal documents, and how to implement a variety of strategies and accommodations within the classroom. Based on concepts found in SB1108, this quick course provides the essential knowledge needed to teachers to understand and implement accommodations in their classroom, using Polk-specific programs. After attending class and completing the follow-up, participants will earn 4 general in-service points!
Who would benefit from this class? New educators and veterans looking to refresh their routines or share best practices!
This course is delivered online via Zoom. Link will be shared with those accepted into the course about a week before class.
