Yesterday, Polk Education Association President, Stephanie Yocum, had the honor of meeting the President of the United States, Joe Biden, as he spoke in Tampa about his efforts to protect Social Security. Stephanie Yocum spoke to the PEA Board of Directors last night about her experience stating, “This was an incredible opportunity to meet our nation’s leader and I was ecstatic as I shook his hand!” Your union works consistently throughout the year to foster and maintain relationships with local, state, and national legislators in order to serve educators and promote pro-public education policies that help teachers, paras, and ESPs throughout our community.
