This course provides current and potential paraprofessionals with assistance in building basic knowledge of reading, writing, and math, as well as how to best support and encourage students in the classroom when building, practicing, and refining these skills. The course also prepares paraprofessionals to take the ParaPro Exam in an effort to gain highly-qualified status through the district per the Para CBA (a passing score of 464 or higher is one way to become a highly-qualified Para in the PCPS school district).
