General Knowledge Prep Course

PEA is proud to announce our new and improved General Knowledge Exam Prep Course! This course is designed to help prepare you for the FTCE General Knowledge Teacher Exam (required for most teachers to convert from a temporary to a professional certificate–please reach out to PCPS Certification Department if you aren’t sure you need to pass this exam).

The PEA General Knowledge Exam Prep Course is 12 hours total over 4 days (Days 1 & 2 review the Math portion of the GK exam; Days 3 & 4 review the ELA portion of the GK exam). Participants who complete either/ both classes must enroll in the NetConnect courses and complete the reflection questions at the end of the course to receive their 6 or 12 in-service points.

• All PEA-offered professional development is FREE to PEA members.  If you are not a member and would like to take this course, please join your union by going to our website www.polkea.org

You must attend the entire session of each class and complete reflection work to receive in-service points.  Those days and times are:

• Tuesday, March 19th from 5 pm - 8 pm at the PEA office (Math portion-day 1)
• Wednesday, March 20th from 5 pm - 8 pm at the PEA office (Math portion-day 2)
• Tuesday, March 26th from 5 pm - 8 pm at the PEA office (ELA portion-day 1)
• Wednesday, March 27th from 5 pm - 8 pm at the PEA office (ELA portion-day 2)
